Winter Park Resort opened for business in 1940. It had just one lift, a T-bar, a half-mile long.
The lift ticket costs one dollar. Early in 1950, the idea evolved to operate the area as a
private, non-profit agency of the City of Denver governed by a board of Denver citizens.
Today, Winter Park Resort not only provides quality mountain recreational experiences to
those who visit us but significantly enhances the recreational opportunities of those who
live or travel to Colorado. Winter Park Resort believes in living our Core Values everyday:
Striving to be the Best, Employee Experience, Financial Strength, Playing Safe, Guest
Loyalty, Team Play, and Integrity. So come experience the winter with us!
