MODERATE TO HEAVY BOOKINGS FOR
MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY
SFO HAS AFFORDABLE PARKING IN THE
INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL GARAGES AND LONG-TERM LOT
SAN FRANCISCO -- The Airport welcomes air travelers and the general public to San
Francisco International Airport. All Airport terminals, concessions and parking
facilities will be open throughout the Memorial Holiday period. Security measures
remain in place as the Airport confirms moderate to heavy bookings on incoming and
outgoing flights throughout the week.
SFO is discounting Long-Term Parking lot rates by 13%, and will have ample parking
in all facilities. The maximum daily rate at Long-Term Parking is only $13, including
taxes. If the Long-Term Parking Lot fills up, customers will receive vouchers for
Terminal Parking at the same low $13 rate.
At the International Terminal Garages “A” and “G”, the maximum daily rate is just $22,
providing an affordable, more convenient alternative to Long-Term Parking. SFO’s
AirTrain now links all Terminals and Terminal Garages.
Customers can download a Parking Discount coupon from www.flysfo.com, good for
up to $10 off their Terminal parking fee, or the 7
th
Day Free in Long-Term Parking.
Click the “Parking” icon on the homepage, then the “Parking Discount” icon on the
Parking page. With the coupon, a two-day stay in the International Garages costs only
$34 or $17 per day.
SFO also offers two hours of free parking, worth $10, with a minimum $20 purchase
and validation from participating restaurants and retailers in the International Terminal.

To access SFO, the Airport encourages travelers to use one of the Airport’s many
ground transportation services. Scheduled buses, door-to-door vans, limousines and
taxicab companies provide frequent, reliable and inexpensive transportation between the
Airport and all Bay Area locations. For information, access the Airport’s website at
www.flysfo.com, or the yellow pages under Airport Transportation Services. Staff or
interactive information kiosks are available to provide transportation and Airport
information at information booths located at all terminal arrival levels.
The Caltrain-SFO Shuttle, a FREE shuttle service between the Millbrae Caltrain station
and the Airport, operates Monday - Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Due to
Caltrain construction, Caltrain has discontinued Saturday and Sunday train service
indefinitely. For more information, contact Caltrain at 1-800-660-4287. Ask Caltrain
staff about substitute bus service to the Airport on SamTrans. SamTrans provides
Airport service between Peninsula communities and downtown San Francisco, as well
as express service between the Airport and the Colma BART station. Call TRAVINFO
Hotline at 817-1717 or 511 for Caltrain, BART and SamTrans schedules and fares as
well as other Airport ground transportation information.
TSA security regulations strictly limit curb space at the terminals to active drop-offs
and pick-ups only. Curbside check-in is available on a limited basis, but please check
with your airline prior to coming to the Airport. To manage traffic congestion and
enhance public safety in front of the terminals, the San Francisco Police Department's
Airport Bureau will immediately tow unattended vehicles parked at the terminal curbs.
The Airport encourages all passengers and “meeter-greeters” to check with their airlines
before coming to the Airport to confirm arrival/departure locations and times. Visit
www.flysfo.com to obtain flight status information.
For an enjoyable travel experience, please keep the following in mind:
1. Arrive at least two hours early (even earlier if departing between 6:00 a.m. and
10:00 a.m.);
2. Long-Term Parking Lot shuttle operates approximately every five to ten minutes
during busy periods. However, passengers should allow up to 45 minutes to
reach the terminal ticket counters from their vehicle;
3. Bring a minimum of carry-on luggage and personal items (see below for a list of
items banned by the TSA);
4. Park in the garage and use designated meeting places to greet arriving
passengers (only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond security checkpoints);
5. Check with the airlines before coming to SFO for specific guidelines regarding
curbside check-in and carry-on policies.
