AMPLE AFFORDABLE AND LONG-TERM PARKING
AVAILABLE AT SFO OVER JULY 4th WEEKEND
TIPS, DISCOUNTS FOR TRAVELERS OVER WEEKEND
SAN FRANCISCO -- Parking will be plentiful over the July 4th weekend at San Francisco
International Airport, both in the affordable covered parking lots near the terminals and in the
outdoor, long-term parking lot.
SFO offers a number of affordable parking options, including:
Long-term parking - $13 per day for the first seven days, and $11 thereafter,
including tax. When all spaces in the long-term lot are filled, as is often the case
on holiday weekends, customers will be given a voucher for terminal parking at
the same rate -- $13 per day.
Discount coupon - A parking discount coupon, which can be downloaded at
www.flysfo.com, allows customers to park every 7
th
day free. The same coupon
also offers up to $10 off for daily parking in both the Domestic Terminal garages
and the International garages. Click the “Parking” icon on the homepage, then
the “Parking Discount” icon on the Parking page.
Two hours of free parking, worth $10, with a minimum $20 purchase and
validation from participating restaurants and retailers in the International
Terminal. Patrons must bring their parking ticket into the terminal to benefit
from this offer.
The Long-Term Parking Lot shuttle operates every five to seven minutes during busy periods.
However, passengers should allow up to 30 minutes to reach the terminal ticket counters from their
vehicle.

Moderate to heavy bookings have been made for the weekend, and SFO offers the following
information to help make the travel experience a pleasant one:
Ground Transportation services:
BART provides direct service to SFO from San Francisco and the East Bay, with a link to
Caltrain at Millbrae Station.
AirTrain, SFO’s automated people mover, operates 24 hours a day to shuttle travelers
among terminals and the Rental Car Center.
Scheduled buses, door-to-door vans, limousines and taxicab companies provide frequent,
reliable and inexpensive transportation between the Airport and all Bay Area locations.
SamTrans provides local and express bus service between SFO and Peninsula
communities, as well as downtown San Francisco.
Caltrain is now offering both weekday and weekend service to Millbrae with connection
via BART to SFO.
Call 511 for Caltrain, BART and SamTrans schedules and fares, as well as other Airport
ground transportation information.
Passenger drop-off/pick-up:
Arrive at least two hours early (even earlier if departing between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.)
for international departures and at least 90 minutes for domestic departures.
TSA security regulations strictly limit curb space at the terminals to active drop-offs and
pick-ups only.
Curbside check-in is available on a limited basis, but please check with your airline prior to
coming to the Airport.
To manage traffic congestion and enhance public safety in front of the terminals, the San
Francisco Police Department's Airport Bureau will immediately tow unattended vehicles
parked at the terminal curbs.
All passengers and “meeters and greeters” are encouraged to check with their airlines
before coming to the Airport to confirm arrival/departure locations and times. Visit
www.flysfo.com to obtain flight status information.
