toanswerafewquestions,butyoudonotpre-installanythingordoanyothermanualworkin

ordertosatisfytheprerequisitesbeforeyoustartthescript.Automatedinstallationispossibleon

most,butnotall,ofthesupportedLinuxplatforms.

Manualinstallation

Youmustpre-installtherequiredinfrastructuresoftwarebeforeyouattempttoinstallPolarion.You

followstepsinthedocumentationasopposedtointeractiveinstructionsfromascript.Youmay

Semi-automatedinstallation

Theautomatedinstallationprocessscriptisnotabletoinstallalltheprerequisitesforaplatform

Automatedinstallation

Theautomatedinstallerscriptsdetecttheoperatingsystem(OS).TheOSversionisnotchecked,

however,soyoumustensurethatyouhavetheminimalrequiredversionofyoursystemasspecied

inServerSoftwareRequirements.

IfyourOSissupported,theautomatedscriptswillinstalltheprerequisitethird-partysoftwareforthe

specicsupportedLinuxplatformfromexistingpackagerepositoriesonyoursystemduringthe

Polarioninstallationprocess.TheywilltheninstallthePolarionplatformitself.Ensurethatyouhave

setupthepackagerepositorydefaultsprovidedforyoursystem.
